Nokia 6061 Our rating:

This phone is not very impressive at all. This phone was used through Cingular/AT&T service. While Cingular/AT&T’s service holds up well, the phone itself does not have a lot to offer.

The best thing about the phone is its sleek look. The black with silver trim is appealing, and the light strip on the front of the phone is actually pretty neat. However, after months of use, the battery backing is pretty loose.

The battery life of the phone is quite long. It does last for a long time, but you better watch out when it starts to decrease, as it goes down fast.

The phone is also hard to get used to as far as hearing. The speaker on the phone is small, and in such an odd placement that when not put to the ear right, you can hardly hear the other end at all. However, the speakerphone capability is handy and works well.

The screen is colorful, bright and vibrant, however small. However, this is where the list of features end – a screen, speakerphone capability, and a nice light strip on the front. No camera, no video capability, no bluetooth, and hardly an internet package, and an expensive one at that. If you’re looking for a new phone, this one is not recommended, as it has a lack of features, as well as a hardly pleasing physical endurance and quality.

Motorola v266 Our rating:

We were quite unimpressed with the v266, on several different platforms.

We evaluated this phone through both MetroPCS and Verizon service. However, most of the problems we found were physical problems with the phone’s quality.

For example, the phones quickly became cosmetically beaten up, and the paint began flaking off. One phone’s antenna came right out of the phone!

We weren’t impressed with the battery life on either phone from very beginning, and both batteries experienced a serious decline in charge time after not even that much use. One phone would actually begin sounding the low battery alarm only a few hours after being taking off the charger, with very minimal use.

And, on the topic of low batteries, we were very unimpressed with the low battery alert on this phone. Even when on silent or vibrate, this phone makes sound to notify the user of a low battery, very irritating when the battery goes low in the middle of church or a meeting.

So, we give the v266 only two stars and wouldn’t encourage you to buy this phone. It certainly isn’t worth the value, especially considering its fairly high price tag. In fact, we’d talk on most other phones before reaching for this one.
